We’ve recently been thinking about other ways in which we can help our customers, our wider community and the amazing teams across the NHS.

We know that for many, health and well-being are top of mind at the moment, and for others finance may be a bit tighter than usual. So we’re excited to launch a new donate or discount schemedesigned to make things a bit more affordable for you, and to support the incredible work being done by the NHS. Read on to find out more below.

On the health and well-being front, we know that being forced to spend so much time at home takes its toll, especially for those living on their own. So we’re sharing details of some great initiatives from the local community who like us are working hard to keep their businesses going as well as some ideas we’ve come across from further afield. Read on to find out more. We’ll be sharing more over the coming weeks.

Our new discount or donate scheme offers a 10% discount on all purchases until the end of April or if you prefer, you can opt for us to donate your 10% discount to the NHS Covid-19 appeal.  The choice is yours.

So, if you’ve had your eye on something or need to buy a gift, you’ll be saving a bit, or helping the NHS, as well as helping us to get through these tough times.  Head over to our website for inspiration, and follow us on Facebook or Instagram where we’ll be posting lots of gorgeous things.

To make things even easier, we are now also able to arrange collection or free delivery within the local area (utilising full social distancing measures).

* Please note, delivery times will vary dependent on what is purchased. Please speak to us beforehand and we’ll advise on a case by case basis.

About the NHS Charities Covid-19 Appeal

A donation to the NHS Charities COVID-19 Urgent Appeal helps fund well-being packs, including food deliveries, high energy/protein bars/drinks, snacks, refreshments, wash kits and overnight stay kits for staff and volunteers. It could also cover the cost of travel, parking, accommodation for staff working extra shifts and having to stay away from home.

As well as the above, the money could also go towards supporting isolated patients, mental health support for NHS workers and more. This list is certainly not exhaustive!

Local Initiatives and Things to Do

Chocolate to your doorstep!

Easter is just around the corner and we all need chocolate!  The lovely Amy from Hill Road’s Indulgence is doing free Easter Egg deliveries on Thursday and Friday this week in Clevedon.  Hop on to her social media pages to see what’s available and how to order.  You’ll find a fantastic selection including dairy free, gluten free and vegan options.  So if you can’t see your family right now – you can still surprise them with a lovely Easter gift so they know you’re thinking of them.

Paint by Numbers

If you are like us and can only draw match stick men but yearn to do something creative, check out painting by numbers for adults (and kids).

There are hundreds to choose from and it’s a great way to spend a wet afternoon – as let’s face it it won’t always be sunny! Send us photos of your completed masterpieces – we’d love to see them.  We might even share the one we’re doing! https://victoriasmoon.uk/
