Hand made from a flat slab of stoneware clay, rolled and joined with Virginia’s signature black slip – making it fully water-tight and functional.
Vintage textiles, age old ceramics and paper ephemera all contribute to the inspiration for Virginia’s ceramics. A sense of nostalgia and familiarity together with a touch of humour results in a something that is contemporary but not without history, familiar and comforting, precious but absolutely functional and waiting to be used and enjoyed.
